AES are delighted to announce the roll out of our Domestic Organic Waste Bin Collection Service for Portlaoise

The collection of food and garden waste is compliant with all current collection permit regulations issued by Laois County Council. This service will be provided from September 2010 as part of your existing AES Service at No Additional Charge to our account customers. 

A brown bin for food and garden waste will be delivered to our customers as part of a rollout that will commence early September 2010. The first collection of the brown bin will take place on Tuesday the 21st September 2010.

The organic bin will be collected twice in a four week period and the collection day will coincide with the existing blue bin collection days. Customers should leave their brown bin beside their blue bin for collection. This means that from September 2010 the collections in a four week period are:

• Green General Waste bin: 2 collections
• Blue Recycling Bin: 2 collections
• Brown Organic Bin: 2 collections

A revised calendar showing the new collection dates and what is acceptable in the Brown bin will be posted to our Portlaoise customers.
